Richard Gerber practices exclusively in the field of large loss
subrogation, handling large property subrogation cases involving product
liability, negligence, fire, explosions, water and
construction losses. His considerable experience in subrogation has resulted
in jury verdicts and settlements for millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.
With his expertise devoted exclusively to subrogation, Mr. Gerber's
efforts have contributed to Brown & James being one of the
premier subrogation practices in the country.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gerber has assembled a
network of subrogation experts to provide a “rapid response” team for large
property losses involving fires and other catastrophic losses and he has
personally attended hundreds of initial fire scene inspections to assure his
cases are built properly from inception through trial. He is Chairman of the MO/KS Chapter of the National Association of
Subrogation Professionals and frequently lectures on property
subrogation topics, nationally and locally.
