Brown & James takes pride in the pro bono activities and community service of our lawyers.
Our lawyers are active in innumerable pro bono, charitable, and community service activities. The St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers Program, the St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, Project Angel Tree, the St. Louis Minority Clerkship Program, and Habitat for Humanity are amongst the many community service activities in which our lawyers contribute their time.
Many of our lawyers serve other non-profit organizations as well, including their schools, fraternal organizations, churches, and synagogues. Many hold high leadership positions in these organizations.
Brown & James is also committed to service to the legal profession. Our lawyers author and review continuing legal education materials for the Missouri Bar. They serve on numerous bar committees and are active in many professional organizations and bar associations.
Brown & James does its utmost to encourage our lawyers to be active in pro bono activities and community service. The firm acknowledges and rewards time spent in such activities though its associate bonus program.
